The fine print, kept plain

Privacy

What this site collects, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated October 17, 2026.

The short version

For a Quieter Life is a reading site. There are no accounts, no comments, no email signup, and nothing for sale here. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read. Visit data is sent to Google to provide that service. We don’t sell personal information or run ads on this site.

What we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read, how people arrive (for example, from a search engine), and roughly where they are, at the city or country level. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell new visits from returning ones. We use this only to decide what to write next and to fix what isn’t working. The site shows no ads, and we don’t use analytics to identify you.

Hosting. The site is hosted on Google Firebase. Like any web host, it handles standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and message, and we use them only to reply.
